Redox Solver & Analyzer

Automatically balance complex chemical equations, calculate oxidation states, and identify active agents instantly.

Input Guidelines & Examples

Do's

  • Write elements with standard capitalization: e.g., NaCl, KMnO4, H2O.
  • Write ionic charges clearly: e.g., MnO4-, Fe2+, Fe++, or Fe^2+.
  • Use correct arrow symbols: ->, -->, =>, or =.
  • Separate reactants and products using spaces and plus signs: e.g., A + B -> C + D.
  • Choose the correct medium (Acidic/Basic) if your equation needs auto-balancing of H+, OH-, or H2O.

Don'ts

  • Don't use lowercase for element symbols: e.g., do not write na or kmno4.
  • Don't confuse oxygen O with zero 0: e.g., use H2O, not H20.
  • Don't omit spaces around the reaction arrow or reactant/product plus signs.
  • Don't put spaces inside a single formula: e.g., write H2O, not H 2 O.
  • Don't include phase symbols like (aq), (s), or (g) as they confuse the parser.
